Big feature-count for not a bunch of $$$

My Reverse Tanto checks a couple of boxes in my collection -1st integral handle, 1st 3V steel blade. I am shocked it just how light the Magnesium handle is! So light I find myself fearful the knife is fragile when I go to use it.

Swapping in the auto-pivot was a breeze! I ended up with zero side-to-side play & just a smidge of up-&-down wiggle - I've had far more on a Kershaw Launch which has never failed, so I'm not worried.

The most impressive aspect, though, is just how THIN the blade is... For stock as thin a this is, with the good height of the flat bevels, it has a surprisingly tall cutting edge & it cuts beautifully! I'm very glad it's in such a tough steel & I expect it'll hold up to long-term use very well.

I am impressed. Well done on the first design WS!

If anyone is interested in nitpicks, I only have 2 minor ones which are connected to the same design decision: the blade finish. I know it's listed as "satin" but this really looks to me like a media-blast finish. Not my favorite because it increases surface area which can increase the likelihood of staining/patina/rust - not at all an actual issue in the performance of the knife & I'm comfortable caring for my knives to reduce the chances it happens.

The other is how this finish makes for an extremely gritty button press when the blade is under spring tension - I am certain this will work it's way out over time, but I will feel it in my teeth every time until then...

    Don't get me wrong - I'm…

    So far so good

Quite honestly have not had any issues with converting to an auto - blade is centered and action is robust. It's been mostly a box opener and it's a beast at that, super sharp and has held an edge for a months over several dozen amazon boxes. BTW the gray silicone tray is excellent too.

Love it great knife . Love the materials very light! Also love how you can change the action to auto on the fly really great craftsmanship. Only downside is that wasn’t very sharp out of box . Other than that great design overall. Will be looking forward to purchasing the other versions soon.

    Stunner….

Personally, I feel this represents the fusion between simplicity, complexity, function and great materials and workmanship.

I have more than a few expensive knives but this one is my EDC. Razor sharp, incredibly light and fires with a significant kick on auto.

Hopefully the next model like this has a built in bottle opener built into the tail end of the frame.

Don’t hesitate. You’re gonna love this tool

    Best Knife

I purchased the RMX Reverse Tanto a few weeks ago, and have really enjoyed it. The blade is super slicey, and the edge retention has been amazing. It’s been in my pocket since I bought it. I need to switch it out because I have other knives I like, but the utility of it is so good, I just haven’t been able to do it yet. I might have to buy the compact…

NOTE: When switching to automatic, it’s much easier if you watch a video first than relying on the written directions alone (at least for me).
