RMX™ EDC Drop Point Folding Knife

I’ve collected over the years many mid-tech to high end knives. The design of this knife is SO underrated I don’t think this company or the maker has had its credit. As well as its thin blade geometry, balance, and size proportions. I love this knife it’s up there with my CRK, Demkos, and Hinderers just because of its uniqueness and minimalistic design. If Worksharp ever did a high end production with integral titanium I would on it too.

Knives are tools and this m’fer is LIGHTWEIGHT and CLEAN. I prefer fixed blades, but this folding knife actually utilizes “gimmicks” with an actual purpose. The design: simple / you can wrap your head around every component in minutes. It’s a slicer and a very good one at that. Lock up feels good with the auto insert although I find with left-handed opening it doesn’t fully lock-up (this can likely be remedied with practice and tuning of the pivot screw). Pocket clip is flush-deep-carry although I would like to see a lower-profile clip for discretion purposes / otherwise it is completely hidden in the pocket with a swell for lanyard (the lack of lanyard-hole doesn’t phase me: this design doesn’t really need it.

I’ve owned literally 100+ knives and they’ve come and gone with their usefulness; I don’t think I’ll be selling this one.

Find joy in the simplicity and elegance of knives / tools. But, more importantly, use your sh*t / keep it sharp / build a patina and for the love god stop keeping your knives in a drawer (it’s not impressive to anyone). My two cents take it or leave it.

After carrying the RMX drop point for a month now, I have to say I find it an excellent eec folder. It's light weight, comfortable, good cutting geometry, smooth opening, etc, etc. The magnesium handle has greatly impressed me and I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of it. I left mine stock and while it took a bit to get used to the opening, it's completely fine. Works well. I've cut all sorts of things from wood of different species, different kinds of cardboard, tapes, rope/cord, food, plastic packages. It's done excellent and it seems like the M390 is heat treated as it should. Could not have a more solid lock up when open. If I had to have a critique it's the bead blast finish on the blade but I do get why they went with it from an aesthetic standpoint toatch the handle and from a cost saving one. For $140 this is a killer knife and I definitely plan to try the future knives that Worksharp puts out with this design language.

This is probably the best life of 2025, no joke. The ergonomics, the build, the quality, the options, the price, everything about it is absolutely 10/10.

If you are at all into knives and don’t have one, just do yourself a favor and get one, and you will probably regret most of the other sub-$140 knife purchases you have made in the last five years, no joke. This thing is amazing!
