RMX™ EDC Drop Point Folding Knife

As someone who’s carried and collected knives for years, I’m always on the lookout for tools that don’t just perform well but also offer flexibility and thoughtfulness in their design. The Worksharp RMX caught my attention for exactly that reason. It isn’t just another EDC blade, it’s a modular cutting tool that adapts to the way you want to use it. After spending some time with it, I’ve come away impressed with both its functionality and the level of detail Worksharp put into the package.

First Impressions

Out of the box, the RMX makes a strong statement. The build quality is sturdy, with tight tolerances and a reassuring heft without feeling overbuilt. The handle ergonomics are excellent, comfortable in hand and textured enough to provide grip security without being overly aggressive on the pocket or palm. The blade itself deploys smoothly and locks up solid, whether set up as a button lock or in its auto configuration.

The standout feature for me is the RMX’s convertibility. I’ve owned button locks, and I’ve owned autos, but the ability to switch between the two in the same knife is something I’ve never seen executed this cleanly. Worksharp makes the process accessible to anyone, not just knife enthusiasts with specialized tools.

Im highly disappointed, I tried on 4 occasions to buy this and was sold out. Fast-forward to now switching to auto the blade will not center despite repeating the steps 10 times and is loose and wont center regardless of how tight the screw is. The edge is sharp dont get me wrong but spyderco and benmade come way sharper and hair pooping . For being a k ife shaperner maker i expected better from the edge. All my sharpeners are work sharp minus one that's a wicked edge. Stick to making sharpeners as they're great and leave the knife making to the big boys. I will be returning for a refund and will not buy anything but my sharpening supplies from now on!

I like this knife a lot. It’s very light and easy to keep sharp after daily use. My problem is the rust. I get sweaty while I work and it has caused the blade to rust on the exposed half that contacts my leg while closed. I’ve carried plenty other knives with the same steel and not had this issue. I thought this was supposed to be a work knife, not a knife that can’t handle sweat. This will be going into the dresser and I’ll keep carrying my ultratech with the same steel that doesn’t rust even when I carry it in my swimming trunks.
