Guided Field Sharpener

I bought the field sharpener a few weeks ago, but unfortunately we had a fire in our home that destroyed almost everything. I messaged Work Sharp and they immediately sent me a replacement. This is the first knife sharpener I’ve owned and it has been great so far! Thank you Work Sharp!

I'm finally accustomed to always having a sharp pocket knife, kitchen knife, chisels, and block plane. I would always use too much pressure when cutting and fiddle with my angle of attack a lot and deal with jerky wasted movements whenever my blade glances off the workpiece. One easily packable tool made the difference for me. The grit is aggressive on both fine and coarse plates and the angle guides help develop a repeatable stroke. I am not worried about the plates using their flatness. I use it often, but never for very long.
