RMX stands for Replaceable Mechanism Xchange, our system that allows easy swapping and maintenance of key knife components.

RMX knives are designed, assembled, sharpened, and quality-checked in Ashland, Oregon, using parts primarily manufactured in China.

The auto pivot is bronze with a titanium nitride coating. The pivots and buttons are steel, also coated with titanium nitride for durability.

Unfortunately, we can’t convert and return automatic knives due to federal shipping restrictions. However, you can follow our step-by-step video guide to safely make the conversion yourself. If needed, ask someone experienced to assist you.

We don’t offer sharpening services, but each knife includes a discount card for purchasing a Work Sharp sharpener of your choice. Check the card in your box for details.

For light cleaning, rinse with hot water while opening and closing the blade to remove debris. For a deeper clean, carefully disassemble the knife, wipe it down (avoid solvents), lubricate, and reassemble.

Due to federal restrictions, automatic mechanisms cannot be shipped to civilians across state lines. Instructions for converting your knife are included via QR code in the user guide and on the product page.Please also review your state’s knife laws before making changes.
