Dual Grit Diamond Stone | OD55 Series

This stone uses electroplated diamond, a mix of polycrystalline and monocrystalline, on a cast aluminum body. The 320 side is 45 micron and the 1200 side is 8 micron. It measures 3" x 8" x 0.72" and is flat to within 0.005".

Do the work on the 320 until the knife feels sharp, then refine the edge on the 1200. Stop at 320 for a toothy edge that bites into rope and cardboard, or finish on 1200 for clean slicing. Most knives don't need a grit in between.

It's the same stone that ships with the OD55 Complete System, so it fits the OD55 base as a spare or replacement. Clean it with a dry brush, and keep 320 grit off the 1200 side, since stray coarse grit can affect the scratch pattern.
