RMX Caiman Compact Reverse Tanto | Reserve Series

I own several WorkSharp blades now including their first collab with Benchmade and I must say they’ve truly come a long way in a very short amount of time. While I personally do not like smaller knives as I have large hands and they’re just too finicky to handle, this little guy doesn’t give me that problem. Allowing at least a 3 finger grip, all my knives I don’t just look at as “tools” or “works of art” I’m somewhere in between where I can appreciate the craftsmanship, but I always ALWAYS buy a knife I’m going to actually use and run on a daily basis. No safe queens here, edc kings only. That said, I find myself relegating this little guy to “in house carry” which I actually like. Because there is no lanyard hole (which yes anyone who truly edcs knows, a knife with a lanyard is infinitely easier to draw when you lose all dexterity in your fingers because of fight or flight), I don’t have to worry about trying to draw this little guy fast, and instead can easily walk about the house knowing I’ve still got a little something something, albeit miniature sized. For everyday tasks the blade shape is phenomenal and I’d take a reverse tanto any day over spear point drop point or even Americanized tanto because it’s just more versatile and is the closest you’ll get to a hawkbill without having the insane recurve. This is my 3rd Worksharp RMX, I like them a little, and I absolutely love this little knife! I’m afraid my other 2 Worksharp knives will be taking a back seat to the Caiman. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because of the shape the blade came from the factory. It was by far the most dull blade I’ve received from Worksharp so far. Very rough edges and honestly not that sharp. Which I quickly remedied with one of my Worksharp sharpeners haha but other than that, it’s an awesome knife!
