Replacement V-Block™ Clamp for the Precision Adjust™

This system was designed to sharpen a very limited range of sizes but not built to actually do it. If you want to sharpen a slip joint pocket knife or a thinner blade kitchen knife you're out of luck. The padding in the clamp and the cheap tiny plastic thumbscrew all but ensures instability. With the lack of versitility, extremely limited grit options, underwhelming build quality and ridiculous price tag make this a lower mid tier option at best. At this price at least throw in support for pocket knives and other smaller blades and a tiny leather strop. I'd be fine with 3 grits if you did that. And for the love of Pete, get rid of the rubber jaw pads and use nylon or plastic. It still won't scratch and at least it would provide some stability that is sorely absent. Listen to customer feedback for crying out loud. No stability and lack of grits are the biggest complaints I see and yet there's nothing regarding solutions in any of your comments. Probably won't buy anything else from you if this is what you consider acceptable.

This clamp leaves a lot to be desired.

I have not been able to make it tight enough to hold a blade without it moving.

All you can do is tighten the plastic wheel with your fingers.

It also doesn't work well with really small blades or with large ones (6"+).

Otherwise I love the darn thing. I am left handed so it has always been hard for me to keep both angles the same. I have now resharpened a bunch of my knives to the proper angle on both sides.

At first it was also difficult to push in the spring to turn the blade around. That seems to be ok now after some use.
