Replacement V-Block™ Clamp for the Precision Adjust™

This clamp leaves a lot to be desired.

I have not been able to make it tight enough to hold a blade without it moving.

All you can do is tighten the plastic wheel with your fingers.

It also doesn't work well with really small blades or with large ones (6"+).

Otherwise I love the darn thing. I am left handed so it has always been hard for me to keep both angles the same. I have now resharpened a bunch of my knives to the proper angle on both sides.

At first it was also difficult to push in the spring to turn the blade around. That seems to be ok now after some use.

The tightner on my old clamp tat I had for about a year and a half developed stripped threads. I contacted customer service and they were great about it. I asked for just the plastic piece that tightens the clamp and received a whole new clamp. I get alot of use out of worksharp sharpeners since I have alot of knives and also use my knives alot. They produce great products that give great results and also give great customer service.

I bought the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Elite Knife Sharpener System about 6-7 months ago and I have been 100% completely satisfied with its' performance. My dull knives are now sharp, my sharp knives are now sharper, and my very sharp knives are now scary sharp. However, my V-Block stripped out and would no longer tighten and hold a blade. I went to Work Sharp's website to look into what all I needed to do in order to get a replacement. So, I went to the part of their website that enabled me to send them a message. I had failed to register for the warranty and worried this would be an obstacle. However, I messaged them about my problem. The next day I got an email from from Sasha in customer service saying my needed replacement part had been shipped and gave me the tracking number, no follow up question, no PITA problems due to not registering the warranty, just sorry for the problem and your part is on its way. This is why Work Sharp is successful and highly recommended. I definitely will continue to depend on Work Sharp for all my sharpening needs. Anyone asking my opinion on what system to buy since I have been collecting and sharpening knives for 30+ years, I will smile and tell them "Just buy a Work Sharp System"
