Edge Guide for the Ken Onion Edition

Customer Support (Peter I believe) was excellent. Order was placed by phone. Shipped quickly (with tracking updates) and the order was accurate.

poor directions (like NONE included) on how to change out the guide. I started to tear into disassembling the unit, then decided it would be much easier to R & R the worn rollers. Quick and easy. After what I expect will be years of use of the unit I imagine Ill end up with a bunch of unused edge guide pivoting "hubs." Seems like kind of a waste. All in all, the KO is an EXCELLENT unit and my experience with Work Sharp has been GREAT!

I have owned a Work Sharp Ken Onion for about 10 years now and use it regularly to sharpen knives and tools., so much so that the rest on edge guides were wearing through. I expected these parts to be hard to find and/or expensive and was happy that they were neither. Customer service is great as well. I own several Work Shap products and remain a loyal customer.

Good deal fast

two stars-one, for each rubber roller guide. only the guides wear out from the sharpening knife edge.. I don't see any easy way to remove and replace the entire metal part. make the rollers out of throwaway plastic and just remove the Allen wrench holding bolt and install a new one; in fact why not sell a length of material and just cut off new pieces as they wear out.

Easy to remove and install. Be careful there is a little spring when you remove the set screw. Also do not screw it tight when reinstalling. This will make it extremely difficult to release the edge guide to vertical.
