I have the older model with the cast table and it comes in handy for lots more than just sharpening stuff. With the table I can adjust the table low and shim up to make custom sized Allen key shafts and even tapered Allen wrench shafts for socket head bolts where the hex part is stripped out. I have CNB wheels and a diamond plate that really do a smooth and insanely efficient job of removing metal. A piece of 12mm stock and a mount allow me to use Tormek jigs on the Work Sharp so chisels, knives, PLUS gouges, veining tools etc. can all be made razor sharp in short order. Chisel backs and plane iron backs are very easily made flat and true before a dual bevel sharpening & finish stropping. With the Allen keys I can re-swage or re-broach the hex socket heads up to the next size, metric or SAE actually FIXING the problem, so the Work Sharp in that capacity will pay for itself about 4x over per repaired hex bolt. A wowed out 3mm gets broached out up to 3/16 inch and it's FIXED! Yes the tapered gripper Allen driver will make it turn the bolt but it's NOT really FIXED! With the Work Sharp I have a set of drill rod hard hex shanks that were ground to size on the Work Sharp, then hollow ground on a grinder so they don't jam into the hex hole. We drive them in removing about .003"-.005" at a time until we are at a new larger size and then any standard or metric Allen driver fits it again. That could save doing a $2300 guitar neck replacement! We are not only sharpening our tools on…

It is Christmas Eve 2023 and I’m as excited as a kid in a candy store. This comes highly recommended by a highly-skilled, professional cabinetmaker I came to know earlier this year while taking holiday on Maui. Now I can’t wait to unbox it and sharpen all my dull tools!

I have the WS3000 and use it to sharpen all my blades and I have been very pleased with the edge I can attain the the sharpen tool in a very short period of time.
