Very simple, straightforward, and quick to use. I don't want to learn how to use a whetstone so this product really is a lifesaver for me when it comes to keeping my knives sharp. After using the sharpener, the edges of my knives were left fingernail biting sharp and smoothy cuts through paper. There's nothing more you could really ask from it. I was able to get all five of my knives sharpened to the previously mentioned sharpness in under and hour.

This is an awesome sharpener. However I would like to know what the red button is for. Is it to change from right handed to left handed? That's my best guess.

I was going to give this a scathing review since it somehow left small notches in the cutting edge of my s30v blade. But then, I realised I was pushing AND pulling the blade when you only need to pull. I reprofiled the blade with the coarse diamond grit, and used it properly. It gave it a very nice edge fast, though not razor sharp.

Would be 5* if there was a way to easily clean the ceramic. The filings that accumulate there definitely affect giving the blade a razor finish.
